BHB supported the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) of the Government of Bangladesh to commemorate World Antimicrobial Awareness Week from November 18 to 24, 2021. The Honorable Minister for Health and Family Welfare of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Zahid Maleque, MP, formally kicked off the week at a special event at the DGDA office. DGDA and the Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services and BHB projects jointly organized the week’s activities, which included a seminar and discussion session, a rally, and the distribution of 50,000 antimicrobial resistance (AMR) awareness stickers through district DGDA offices. BHB also posted AMR awareness-raising messages on its Facebook page and incorporated AMR messages in the ongoing training for Grade C Pharmacy Technicians.
