BHB’s personalized care helped a hospitalized participant complete GPP training

Since the project began in 2018, BHB has trained 14,129 pharmacy professionals in Bangladesh on GPP. In the last round of online training, Murad Ali, a trainee from Jhenaidah district, fell severely ill. A heart patient, Murad’s condition worsened requiring urgent treatment abroad. However, BHB’s training associate was determined to help him complete the training. While Murad’s treatment continued, the BHB training associate maintained constant communication with him through WhatsApp and shared class updates and notes to keep him engaged with the program. The training associate helped other trainees keep in close touch with Murad to offer words of encouragement and keep Murad motivated despite his hospitalization. Amazingly, after several days, as Murad’s condition improved, he rejoined the online classes from his hospital bed. His determination paid off with success when he passed the test and earned his training certificate. This is an example of BHB’s commitment to providing training and capacity building and demonstrating the strong support system that helps trainees overcome obstacles.
