BHB celebrates World AMR Awareness Week 2023

The World AMR Awareness Week is a global campaign to promote understanding of AMR and the critical need to control the emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections worldwide. The week is celebrated globally each year from 18 to 24 November. The theme this year was, “Preventing antimicrobial resistance together”. BHB organized a discussion event on 22 November 2023 at the DGDA office that was chaired by the Director General, Major General Dr. Mohammad Yousuf. Professor Dr. Ismail Khan, Vice Chancellor of the Chattagram Medical University, and a pharmacology professor, gave the keynote speech. AMR is a threat to humans, animals, plants, and the environment, and no single individual is safe from its life-threatening effect. World AMR Awareness Week helps to re-enforce this truth among all of us.
