Pharmacy Management Software (PMS) can be a comprehensive business solution if the retail medicine shop takes advantage of its full functionality. It ensures efficient operations including human resource information management, purchase management, sales invoicing with point-of-sale, sales return, stock management, expiry tracking, revenue management, etc. The latest data show that login credentials have been approved for 1,238 retail medicine shops and 700 credentials created and that 331 medicine shops are using the PMS.
BHB’s Information Technology Advisor visited Barishal, Jhalokathi, Sylhet, Sunamganj, and Netrokona districts to characterize PMS use. He also promoted the software and oriented medicine dispensers or pharmacy owners on three versions of the software for Android, desktop, and online use. He provided onsite training to the dispensers and helped install the system on their devices. He also sensitized stakeholders including DGDA Drug Superintendents and Bangladesh Chemist & Druggist Samity leaders about the DGDA officers’ Pharmacy Management Software panel.
